After an initial discussion, some organisations will be invited to supply a more detailed funding application including supporting documentation (with an link to our online application form provided by email).

Please note: You cannot apply for a CCI Giving small grant without talking to us first. 

 

What is the assessment process?

Assessment of Small Grants Program applications is by a committee which exercises its discretion in accordance with an annual budget. Before you apply, please review the following:

1.

Is your nominated charity registered with the ACNC?

Check the ACNC Register.

2.

Is your nominated charity an eligible DGR Item 1 charity?

Check ABN LookUp.

3.

Is your charity conducting activities in Australia consistent with Catholic teaching?

4.

Is the activity for which you are applying designed to assist or support one of the following target cohorts?

Namely: Young people experiencing educational disadvantage; Refugees & people seeking asylum; Families affected by mental illness; Those affected by domestic violence

5.

Is your charity a smaller, grassroots agency with annual revenue of less than $1M?

If you have answered YES to the above questions, you are ready to apply for the Small Grants Program.

Documentation

The following documentation is required to be provided as part of the application process:

1.

details of your overall project budget, itemising on both the income and expenditure side

2.

a copy of your organisation’s last annual report (if available)

3.

a copy of your organisation’s last audited financial statements (if available)

It is recommended you have this documentation available in a digital format, ready to be attached to your application.

Additional notes

To apply for the Small Grants Program you will first need to speak with us. If after an initial discussion, you're invited to supply a more detailed funding application, you will then be provided with a link to our online application form via email.

You will then need to create a CCI Giving account. Following this, you will be given access to the Small Grants Program application form. Applications can then be saved and returned to at any time (during the specific funding round) by selecting 'Save and Finish Later'.
